Kidneys from most of the victims, who were the poor hailing from the nearby western Uttar Pradesh, were transplanted into clients from the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Saudi Arabia and Greece. The police raid was prompted by complaints by the locals from Moradabad about illegal kidney sales. The man accused of the scandal, Amit Kumar, was arrested in Nepal on 7 February 2008 and has denied any hand in criminal activity.
Individuals desperate for money become prime targets for fake kidney buyers, and scammers employ various
tactics, often leveraging the internet and fake
spam messages. Victims, driven by desperation, may respond to these deceptive messages, unknowingly
falling into the scammers' trap. The scammers, posing as
kidney buyers, manipulate victims into believing they are confirming a kidney donation. Subsequently,
they instruct the person to register with a fictitious
organization, demanding a substantial registration fee. Unfortunately, once the victim makes the
payment, they realize it was a scam, and they've lost their
money. In more sinister cases, the scammers may even contact the victim, coercing them into donating a
kidney without fulfilling the promised payment. The
exploitation of vulnerable individuals in these kidney-buying scams underscores the importance of
raising awareness and promoting caution, particularly in
online interactions related to organ transactions.
The Scam messages usually look like this:

Scammers employ persuasive tactics in various ways, creating fictitious identities and imaginary
locations to deceive their targets. Their elaborate schemes
often involve the fabrication of false personas and places, all aimed at convincing the target to
believe their intricate web of lies. This manipulation highlights
the scammers' adaptability and their willingness to go to great lengths to achieve their deceptive
objectives. Staying vigilant and informed about common scam
tactics is crucial to avoiding falling victim to these elaborate schemes.
The doctor and the places mentioned above here do not exist. When people respond to these kinds of
messages they get this kind of response:
The scammers typically employ a deceptive questionnaire tactic where they request personal information from the target, often under the guise of a seemingly legitimate survey or inquiry. This questionnaire is designed to extract sensitive details, including the target's bank account information. The fraudulent nature of these inquiries becomes apparent when victims are asked to provide substantial amounts of money as part of the scam. It is crucial for individuals to exercise caution and refrain from sharing personal and financial details in response to unsolicited requests or surveys, as these could be potential red flags for scams. Staying informed about such tactics is essential for protecting oneself from falling victim to these schemes.
It's crucial to be aware that scammers often dangle a substantial sum of money (in this instance, 90 lakhs) as bait, aiming to blindside their targets with the allure of financial gain. Subsequently, a list of terms and conditions is dispatched, outlining the purported requirements for the kidney donation process. Here, the scammer typically requests the target to pay a registration fee or make a donation to facilitate the kidney donation. It's essential for individuals to exercise extreme caution and skepticism when confronted with such propositions, especially when substantial sums of money are involved. Verifying the legitimacy of such offers through credible channels is vital to avoid falling victim to scams that exploit people's vulnerabilities.
The scheme often unfolds with a crucial twist – the scammers insist that the target must pay a certain amount as a fee to initiate the procedure. In instances where the target is desperate or exceptionally trusting, they may fall for the scammer's ploy and disclose their bank details. Furthermore, some fraudulent individuals posing as doctors directly provide their bank details, instructing people to make payments for a supposed registration fee. It's imperative for individuals to exercise caution, conduct thorough research, and verify the authenticity of such requests before divulging any personal or financial information. Scammers exploit the desperation and vulnerability of individuals, making it crucial to remain vigilant and informed to avoid falling victim to these deceptive practices.
Frauds like this have no proper procedure like the previous one we saw. They directly ask for money and promise big amounts. Beware of such frauds.

Identifying spam messages is relatively easy. Messages with poor grammar and extravagant promises are
often too good to be true. Even in challenging situations, it's
crucial to refrain from considering such risky solutions. Save yourself from potential harm, and never
contemplate parting with your kidney in response to such dubious offers.
