A friend sent this scammer to me from Twitter. (Martin thinks she and I are the same person.) Martin Pata Cole is in the Army, deployed to Morocco He has a 4-year-old son, Dave. He came home from a deployment and caught his wife with his friend. They divorced, and Dave lives with the mother. He enlisted for eight years. A deployment usually is for 180 days, sometimes longer, so scammers should know about when they would be able to come home. This dude does not know when he will be able to leave Morocco but thinks after December. The picture he sent me of himself showed his bare tatooed arms that look like hams, but he said he can do only 70 push ups in two minutes. I have a friend who can do 82 push ups in two minutes, and he could do more before his surgery. I asked him what his rank is, and he said he was a rifleman in the infantry. That's not a rank; it's a job. I asked him the name of his base in Morocco, and he gave me Camp Haan in Riverside, California. Camp Haan closed in 1946, and part of its 8,058 acres went to form a national cemetery, a golf course, and housing. My point is, if a scammer is going to assume the role of a deployed soldier, at least he should know what he's talking about! I know not to tell a scammer what his mistakes are, though. Martin has at last said he is going out on a mission. They have taken a survey and are helping those in need financially, physically, and healthwise. He spent "1000$" on video games for the needy children in Morocco but did not know that cards would be needed for them to play. He wanted me to buy cards and send him the numbers, and I told him I was not going out after dark. He then went to PayPal, saying a buddy has a PayPal account. He was absolutely begging me for the money. I told him he seemed to be experienced in ways to get money to himself. His explanation was that his buddy does it and it's easy to learn how, and he was educated. I asked my friend to tell him on Twitter DM that my documents program had crashed and now my email had crashed, but I would send the money to him the next day. She sent me a screenshot of my message to him with his reply and then reported the conversation and blocked him. I reported the Hangout conversation and blocked that, too. There are about 200 screenshots of his conversation, and all for $200. What a waste of time!
