When you place a report on HuntScammers, you are not only speaking up about what
happened to you – you are also helping to protect many other people who might meet
the same scammer later. The huntscammers database connects reports from around the
world so that future victims see warnings before they trust a stranger online.
We collect reports about:
- Phone numbers used for calls, SMS, WhatsApp, Telegram and other messaging apps.
- Email addresses used for fake jobs, love stories, investments, refunds and more.
- Websites and company names used to host fake shops, trading platforms or job portals.
- Usernames and profile links on dating apps and social media profiles.
1
Describe who contacted you
Add the name, username or profile title the scammer used. Mention if they
appeared as a male scammer, a female scammer, a fake company or a “support team”.
2
Share the key contact details
Include the phone number, email address, website, company name or social media
link used. This is what other people will search when they are hunting scammers
on HuntScammers.
3
Tell the story in your own words
Explain what the scammer said, what they asked for and how the conversation
made you feel. Honest details help others recognise the same scam pattern.
Don’t worry about perfect writing – clear, honest information is more important than
grammar. Please avoid sharing your own sensitive data (full ID numbers, full card
details, passwords or full bank account numbers) in the report.
After you submit a scam report to HuntScammers:
- We review the report for safety and remove anything that breaks our rules.
- We try to match your details with existing phone numbers, emails, websites or companies.
- When someone searches the same details, they will see that warnings and case summaries exist.
Your identity is kept private – the focus is always on exposing scam behaviour,
not on blaming victims. Reports about male scammers, female scammers and fake companies
are all treated with the same respect and care.
Remember: even if you are unsure whether it was “really” a scam,
sharing your experience on HuntScammers may still help. Many scam patterns only become
clear when several people report similar stories. By hunting scammers together, we make
it harder for fraudsters to hide behind new names, new photos and new websites.
