He contacted me on Instagram and after a few chats, we moved to Whatsapp and he send me his number +1 (937) 826-2617 claiming he was on SF, California. He said he was a contractor and traveled a lot, divorced cause his wife cheated on him and had an 11 year old daughter. His ex was supposed to be in Singapore with his daughter and barely had contact. He upscaled his love intentions just like out of nothing claiming he wanted to come here and get married and buy a house and raise a family in San Francisco. I knew he could be a scammer when he said he wanted to send me a gift because he got inspired shopping and wanted to give me a surprise. I send him my work address information. He said that the package was about to be delivered just about the day he was supposed to travel to Turkey for work. He showed me the scam ticket to Turkey as I checked it online at the IATA server and there were not flights with any of those numbers. He insisted that I should check the tracking of the package on a website that really seemed shady. I received a mail that the parcel was held at the airport and I should pay a clearance fee of 1k. He texted to indicate about the confirmation that he also received and he had put money in the package as a refund, I said that I didn't have that amount of money and the started becoming rude and played as a victim. I kinda played along like I'm naive and he tried to make me raise that money in 1 day. The mail I received with the local account info belonged to a person, not a company and I checked his info online and belongs to a man that has criminal records in my country. I said that out of the nature of my work, my phone is tapped by the FBI as I work with the US Embassy people and all of a sudden he blocked me.
